Interactive Living is a professional engineering consulting firm specializing in the integration of entertainment, communications, safety and control/automation systems for the residential market. We offer Architects and other professionals engineering-stamped design drawings and complete specifications for home technology systems. We offer our clients 3 types of services:

Evaluation Report – an Engineering report that highlights the important considerations that need to be addressed for home technology systems to be integrated into the home.

Design & Consultation – full design drawings and specifications for the home technology system, including a summary of provisions needed of other professionals on the project (such as electrical, heating/cooling, spatial, etc). The drawings are stamped by a Professional Engineer.

Project Management – the design drawings are used to solicit bids on equipment and installation from dealers/installers. We manage and sign-off on the installation, including site inspections as necessary.

Tim graduated in 1994 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has a wide range of work experience with technology companies such as Nortel Networks, Alcatel Canada, IBM Canada and PMC-Sierra. Tim has instructed graduate and undergraduate level courses in electrical and computer engineering at Canadian universities and has a strong background in data communications, telecommunications, networking and integration.
