Flyte Enterprises Rewarded for their Community Involvement by Yellow Pages Group’s Make It Real Program Winners officially recognized at reception held on June 10th  

Abbotsford (British Columbia), June 10, 2008 — Yellow Pages Group (YPG) is proud to announce the winners of its Make It Real: Better Businesses for Better Communities program: Flyte Enterprises Ltd. was awarded the $5,000 Platinum prize.

Flyte Enterprises designs and implements green management solutions for clients who wish to holistically improve health, safety and environmental awareness in the workplace. The Company is committed to fighting the climate change crisis by developing advanced custodial cleaning practices and educating clients about high-risk cleaning chemicals that have a negative impact on human health and the environment.

Local charities also benefit from this unique program In accordance with the terms of the Make It Real program, which calls for winners to donate a portion of their prize to a beneficiary organization of their choice, Flyte Enterprises will be contributing $1,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Open to small businesses of 50 employees or less, YPG’s annual Make It Real program is designed to recognize and reward companies that have shown an exceptional degree of social responsibility. Their actions could take the form of volunteering, fundraising or financial contributions to a worthy cause, ecological initiatives, or other charitable endeavours.  Marking its third edition this year, the 2008 Make It Real program recognized small businesses in 10 different cities across Canada: Kelowna and Abbotsford in British Columbia, Red Deer and Grand Prairie in Alberta, Brandon in Manitoba, London and Kingston in Ontario, Sherbrooke and Saguenay - Lac-St-Jean in Quebec, and Halifax in Nova Scotia.
